_{...When you run into someone who has terrible spelling and/or grammar, and upon checking their page you learn they're from an English speaking country??

I don't mean chatspeak or texting-type bad, I mean complete disregard for spelling and/or grammar in general, to the point where it's difficult to understand what they're trying to communicate. EVERY. SINGLE. COMMENT.

Part of me recoils in horror whenever I run into any kind of grammatical or spelling error, so this sort of thing utterly kills me.

I have met people whose first language is not English, yet have mastered it better than many native speakers. I had a friend who was dyslexic, yet she was a writer, and her emails were always flawless.

I have also encountered people who seem incapable of spelling a word the same way twice. I've had discussions with people where one person's comments are fine, while the other person's are like blocks of crumbling sentences with mismatching words; the topic of the discussion was being spelled correctly on one side, and spelled completely wrong on the other side.

The contrast is seriously disorienting.
