Lesson One [Rabbit Hunt]It was early morning when Rees and his faithful companion Coypu set out from their cave home. They had the whole day ahead of them but Rees already knew what they’d be doing with it; hunting.
Or trying to anyways. Coypu was fairly new to hunting and had only done so in big groups. Even now Rees was questioning letting her attempt it with only him for guidance. He was much more of a fisherman himself and as much as he knew that Coypu loved the water, a good run and rush of her natural instincts would do the young tokota well.
Still, he didn’t make an effort to excite her about the day. They had only done a few attempts on their own and every time Coypu seemed completely disinterested in combing the forests for hours for the hint of the hunt. Today Rees would try to let things play out for themselves and just let Coypu assume that they were going for a regular hike. Maybe the hunt being a complete surprise would be more interesting to Coypu.
Rees could only hope.
