Slightly more comprehensive version made from the sketch animation I whipped up for [link]

What does 'twos' and 'ones' mean?
It means 11 drawings stretching 22 frames, each drawing being held for two frame (twos) or 11 drawings with one frame per drawing (ones)

The 7 frame cycle is on twos.

Framerate is 24fps.

I'm so tired of the inaccurate run/walk cycles.
Basic anatomy. It's not that hard [link]
Motion reference. It's also not that hard [link]

Feel free to use this as a guide or reference

My main reference used to make this was [link]

Someone please explain it to me. How do I end up drawing wolves when I don't even like them...?

They're animation terms.
'Ones' = 24 frames per second, the standard number of frames per second for animation.
'Twos' = 12 frames per second. Half as many drawings, or twice as long.

Oh wow, I knew the slower the animation, the more frames you needed but I didn't know it was THAT many o.O

I wish I had used this one instead of Preston Blair's... It would helped with my meerkat run cycle... If I redo it I'll use this as a reference if you don't mind.

It might not help you with a realistic meerkat run cycle, because meerkats and wolves just don't run the same way. I recommend using footage of real meerkats running as reference, because that's really the only thing that moves like a meerkat.
