I may be addicted to animating this character :|

If I finish this, I must remember to add the fourth leg... can't leave it as a three-legged monster-cat, that's hardly scary

Roar audio ripped from www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQDOdS…
Footsteps sfx from sounddogs.com

Toon Boom Harmony 10.0

yeah, there's a weird sound-glitch-thing in there. I'll try to fix in subsequent/final version(s)

Finished

I want to animate so badly but no matter what I do it just ends up looking like crap. Go you for doing something like this!

A few words of advice on animation:
1. Make these bad boys your best friends
2. Overlap = smoothness, but you don't always want everything to be smooth. Sudden changes with no overlap give things a "snap" or a "pop"
3. "The animator's survival kit" by Richard Williams is a great book for learning animation

I can only do this because I've got a lot of practice under my belt, and I've been trained how to do this. That's the only reason. So don't give up so easily; my first animations looked like crap, too.

Neat-o! With ground shaking effect and everything!

Is it just me or there is a weird foreign sound (at 0:04) during the roar?

It's amazing as it is, but maybe in the finished product (if it ever comes to that), you could add a little... er... line? lines?... To show that her rib cage expands right before the roar (it is a pretty long roar), just saying. It's really good!

Thank you!! :tighthug:

There is a foreign sound, I was just hoping no one would notice it :paranoid:

That's a great idea! When I finish it (si llega hasta ahí) I will definitely add that!

Welcome! Don't worry about the sound, you don't notice it the first time you hear it, but i watched the animation like eight times, so... ^^;

Yay! Glad it was a good suggestion! :la:

Really why?

I got the program that u use and this may sound stupid but the hardest part for me is getting the character to move

Because clean-up is a pain in the ass.

That comes with practice and experience. Try to get your hands on a book called "The animator's survival kit" by Richard Williams, if you can.

I would not recommend you start with Toon Boom. Flash is way easier for a beginner.
