This is a beautiful drawing of a lovely character! Herons are so much fun to draw! I learned how to draw wings by constantly sketching herons some years ago actually. Their wings are great to observe the layers of feathers and the basic structure.
You did very well on the anatomy of both, bird and cat. I really like how you used the character's colors in the background to make it consistent.
